'They told me I needed to lose weight': Former Australia's Next Top Model contestant Jess Bush slams the fashion industry as she reveals she was asked to slim down even while suffering an eating disorder
She appeared on on Australia's Next Top Model in 2011.
But former model Jess Bush says her experience in the modelling industry was less than positive.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 27-year-old says that she was asked to lose weight even when she was unwell.

Aged 21 at the time, the beauty says she met with a prospective agency but was 'belittled' about her size.
'I suffered an eating disorder for five years, like every single other model and I had a meeting with an agency.
'They told me I needed to lose weight, that my body shape wasn't right,' she told the paper.

Jess told the publication that she was already very slim at the time.
'I was tiny. I'm 5 foot 10 inches (177.8cm) and I weighed under 60kgs. It was ridiculous,' she said.
The blonde slammed the modelling industry, saying that it 'skews the self worth' of impressionable young women and is 'very damaging'.
Jess is now an actress, starring in Channel 10's Playing For Keeps.
She is also an artist, sharing her abstract works and photographs to her Instagram account.

Last month, the beauty revealed her body changed last year after suffering a 'hard heart break' and warned her fans not to judge a book by it's cover.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote alongside a photograph of her trim figure: 'Real talk this six pack was courtesy of a break up that had me cry jogging for an hour a day to keep my anxiety at bay about a year ago.'
The artist concluded: 'It was a time of simultaneous real hard heart break and joyous career successes, all wrapped up in the cuddles of beautiful people. You can be broken and shining at the same time'.
