An urgent national search is underway to find a woman and 11-year-old boy who disappeared over two weeks ago. Mother and son Anxhelina, 32, and Rojs, 11 were first reported missing from Hyde in Tameside, Greater Manchester on September 19. Two climbers who went missing for several days while making their way up a Himalayan mountain have revealed that cuddling together to preserve their body heat was the key to surviving their terrifying ordeal. Fay Manners, 37, and US climber Michelle Dvorak, 31, had been unaccounted for since Thursday when they got into difficulty while trekking up India's Chaukhamba mountain. The pair sent a panicked message back to base camp to say they were in trouble having lost their climbing equipment, tent and food down a gorge.

An Instagram model accused of making a false rape claim against a current AC Milan star will go on trial later this month at a Costa del Sol court, it was confirmed on Tuesday. Public prosecutors have said in a pre-trial indictment they want Luisa Kremleva to receive a two-year prison sentence and a £12,000 fine if convicted. Kremleva, thought to have dual Russian-Spanish nationality, told police she had been raped in a Porsche Cayenne outside glitzy Marbella nightclub Olivia Valere.

Dr Yaser Jabbar is a former NHS orthopaedic surgeon who is alleged to have left dozens of children with life-changing injuries due to his surgeries. He previously worked at the children's hospital, where he treated on 721 people, but has not had a licence to practice medicine in the UK since January. The parents of one of his alleged victims has told how their son underwent surgery in 2022 to correct a misalignment in his legs, which caused one to be 8cm longer than the other. They claimed the teenager felt his leg 'snap' and was 'in agony' just a few months after the surgery. Instead of having years of more painful procedures, the youngster took the 'heartbreaking decision' to have his leg amputated.

Italian officials say Madalina Ioana Filip, known as Mady Gio, owes them a fortune after allegedly evading tax by claiming she was paying it abroad. Families in Ireland have been left raging as war refugees are handed brand new £370,000 homes while the country suffers a major housing crisis. The modular homes which include a kitchen-living room, children's room and master bedroom are complete with furnishings including dishes, bedding, towels, and even  cleaning products. Funded by the Irish government, the homes which were initially meant to cost around £167,000 per unit shot up to almost £400,000, a report by the Office of the Controller and Auditor General revealed. By last month, 572 of the new homes had been built, but 82 units at Haywood, Clonmel have been delayed to April 2025 due to disruptions from ongoing protests at the site. Once the project is complete, the modular homes will house 2,640 Ukrainian refugees.

A British explorer has become the first person ever to travel the length of an uncharted Amazon river. Ash Dykes, 33, battled sickness and hallucinations to finish his epic 37-day trip by reaching the mouth of the Coppename River in Suriname, South America. The extreme athlete and his teammates Jacob Hudson, Dick Lock and Matt Wallace, kayaked continuously for the final three days and nights to complete the mission. And after suffering from sleep deprivation, infections and malnutrition, they saw strange visions before finally getting to the Atlantic Ocean.
